Janice Lea Codispoti
Janice Lea Codispoti (Maid, Assistant Director)Janice is happy to be involved in another BRP summer production along with talented and dear friends and family! Janice’s BRP credits include “Mame” (Mame), assistant director (“Guys and Dolls”), and Hedy LaRue (“How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying”). Other favorite roles include Arlene in “Baby,” JoAnne in ‘Godspell,” Abigail in “1776,” Dolly in “Hello, Dolly!,” and Lois/Bianca in “Kiss Me Kate.” Janice is thrilled to be in a second Brass Rail Players production with her daughter Laura, and would like to thank her ever patient and supportive husband, Joe, for always encouraging this creative expression.
JANICE LEA CODISPOTI (Hedy LaRue): Janice is thrilled to be involved with her third production with BRP, having performed in “Mame” and assistant directed “Guys and Dolls.” Janice is a veteran performer in both professional and community theater. Some favorite roles are Arlene (“Baby”), Abigail (“1776”), JoAnne (“Godspell”), Lois/Bianca (“Kiss Me Kate”), Babe (“Pajama Game”), and Mame (“Mame”). Janice is an experienced singer of many genres, and regularly performs classical, choral, jazz, standards, and, most favorite, musical theater music. Janice is a recent graduate of McKendree University with a B.A. in psychology and music. It has been an especially nice experience to work with her daughter in this production. She would like to thank her husband Joe, for his “you can do it!” love and encouragement.
Janice Lea Codispoti (Assistant Director) is enjoying her very first stint in the Assistant Director role, although she is a veteran performer in both professional and community theater. Some favorite roles are Mame (Mame, Brass Rail Players), Dolly (Hello, Dolly!, Cathedral Players, Belleville), Abigail (1776), JoAnne (Godspell), Lois/Bianca (Kiss Me Kate), and Babe (Pajama Game). Janice is an experienced singer of many genres, and is currently in her 6th season as a member of the Masterworks Chorale (Belleville), where she also serves on the Board of Directors. She is also the director of Off Track, the performing ensemble of Brass Rail Players. Janice and her family live in O’Fallon. She is a graduate of McKendree University, where she studied Psychology and Music. Janice is a Virginia native and spent over 20 years as a military spouse, living all over the world. She would like to thank her family for being ever patient and making it easy to pursue this passion.
