Matt Dossett (Director) YAGMCB marks Matt’s fifth production with Brass Rail Players. You may have seen him play M. Lindsay Woolsey in “Mame,” Benny Southstreet in ‘Guys and Dolls’ and Jonathan Harker in ‘The Passion of Dracula.’ He previously directed “Over the River and Through the Woods” last spring. Matt is thrilled to be directing such a well-known show for BRP’s second season! Having played the role of Charlie Brown in 2005, this show and these characters hold a special place in his life. Matt lives and works in Waterloo. He would like to thank the board of directors for choosing him to direct one of his favorite shows, his parents for their unending support, his family and friends for understanding why he is so busy, his creative team (Marcia, Stacey and Donna) for all of their help throughout the process and BRP’s loyal patrons. It’s because of you that we get to do something we all love doing. |

PoD marks Matt’s fourth production with Brass Rail Players. You may have seen him as Benny Southstreet in “Guys & Dolls” or M. Lindsay Woolsey in “Mame” this year. Matt directed “Over the River and Through the Woods” this past spring and will be directing BRP’s next show “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” - see you at auditions? :) He became a member of Monroe Actors Stage Company in high school and has played numerous roles within a decade or better since he started in community theater. Matt recently won a MASC Patron’s Choice Award for his performance as Perry Lascoe in “Waiting in the Wings.” He would like to thank Pat for choosing him for this role, his cast-mates for another memory-filled show, his parents for their continuous support, his family and friends for coming to see him on stage, and the patrons for being our reason to do the thing we all love to do. |
| Matt Dossett – Director Matt is thrilled to be working on back to back shows with Brass Rail Players! He recently played M. Lindsay Woolsey and about six other extra roles in “Mame.” Matt lives and works in Waterloo. Having acted since the age of 12, he has gotten the opportunity to play a variety of characters, such as Jimmy Curry (“The Rainmaker”), Charlie Clinton (“Never Too Late”), Charlie Brown (“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”), Rev. Mervin Oglethorpe (“Smoke on the Mountain”) and Benjamin Cohen (“The Underpants”). He played Nick in both Monroe Actors Stage Company and The Theatre Guild of Webster Groves productions of ‘Over the River.” He has directed several shows for school and community theatre groups. His personal favorites are “Web of Murder” and “The Curious Savage,” both at MASC in Waterloo. Matt wishes to thank both of his fantastic grandmothers who he used as inspiration for the two in the show, the board of directors for trusting him with their season closer, his mother, Terri for all of her gracious support, his father, Tom for eagerly helping design and construct a wonderful set, his extended family for always making it to every show and lastly the audience because they really are the best part of any show. |
