Mark A. Eros
Mark A. Eros (Bellboy) Theatre and music are in Mark’s blood. His parents, Albert & Viola, were Cathedral Players Guild members. Later Mark joined the Guild’s production of the “Passion Play” in the role of Barabbas. He is a member of the Belleville Diocesan Schola, as well as a charter member of the Masterworks Chorale. His theatrical credits include “Cabaret,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “The King & I,” “South Pacific,” “Sweet Charity,” “The Unsinkable Molly Brown,” and the Brass Rail Players’ production of “Guys and Dolls,” playing Angie the Ox, and last year’s production of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”, playing both Mr. Twimble and Wally Whomper. With the support and encouragement of wife Margaret, and under the direction of son, Stephen, and under the choreography direction of future daughter-in-law, Jamie Lynn Marble, Mark returns to the stage for this year’s production of “Dirty Rotten Scroundrels.” As Mark puts it, I could be vacationing in “Oklahoma”, but instead I’m “Ruffhousin’ With Shuffhausen” and “The More We Dance”, the more I feel like a “Chimp in a Suit”. But “Nothing Is Too Wonderful To Be True”, so I decided to “Give Them What They Want” and join the cast for this production. So, “Here I Am” and I hope you enjoy the show as much as we did preparing it for you.
MARK EROS (Mr. Twimble & Wally Womper): Mark has theatre and music in his blood. His parents, Al and Viola, were members of Cathedral Players Guild, which Mark later joined in the production of the “Passion Play” in the role of Barabbas. Mark is a member of the Belleville Diocesan Schola as well as being a charter member of the Masterworks Chorale. “Cabaret,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “The King & I,” “South Pacific,” “Sweet Charity,” and “The Unsinkable Molly Brown,” are a part of his credits. With the support and encouragement of wife, Margaret, and son, Stephen, he returns to the Brass Rail Players stage after playing Angie the Ox in last season’s production of “Guys & Dolls.” As Mr. Twimble and Wally Womper, he enjoys being a member of the “brotherhood of man” and the rest of “the company way,” and looks forward to presenting the show for your enjoyment.
Mark Eros (Angie the Ox) is no stranger to theatre and music. He has appeared in area productions of “Cabaret,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “The King and I,” “South Pacific,” “Sweet Charity” and “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.” Like his parents, he joined the Cathedral Players Guild and performed in its production of the Passion Play as Barrabus. As a charter member of the Masterworks Chorale, he enjoys many types of music. The Chorale’s “Give My Regards to Broadway” Concerts, have kept him in the spotlight, and with the encouragement and support of his wife, Margaret, and his son, Stephen, a junior in the music program at Webster University, he looks forward to playing the role of Angie the Ox and working with an exciting cast, presenting “Guys and Dolls.”
